On April 15, 2008, the groundbreaking for the new John Theurer Cancer Center took place. This new pavilion, a planned 160,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility will provide the requisite infrastructure to institute a multi-disciplinary approach to cancer care and dramatically increase the Cancer Center’s capacity to perform all phases of clinical trials and treatments.

In support of this exciting and important initiative, we are pleased to introduce The Golden Helix Society. Scientists know that DNA, the blueprint of life, takes the form of a double helix, a spiral ladder whose connecting rungs define the structure of every living cell. Just as the quest to understand how and why cancer occurs is entwined with DNA’s double helix, our plan to build the John Theurer Cancer Center is inextricably tied to the generous support of people like you.

The Golden Helix Society recognizes a special group of donors; those who give $1,000 or more each year to help build the John Theurer Cancer Center. Members of the Society will be recognized in the Hackensack University Medical Center Donor Gallery in the Link Building.

The attached form outlines the various ways you can join The Golden Helix Society to help support the construction of this facility and at the same time, celebrate our success later this year with a special, invitation only, gala affair! Click here to become a member.
