The Auxiliary
People helping people. That’s what the Auxiliary of Hackensack University Medical Center is all about — people who choose to take a hands-on approach to supporting the health care needs of their community. Our Auxiliary is the largest of its kind in the state and actually predates the hospital’s creation in 1888. The dedicated volunteers in the Auxiliary are an integral part of the Foundation and its mission. Through their compassion, energy and spirit, the Auxiliary has accomplished great things, such as raising $2.5 million to fund the Pediatric Emergency Room in the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. Other funding projects include renovating The Banta Lobby in the Link Pavilion, purchasing a jitney bus and paramedic vehicle, and installing a TV surveillance system. ![]() |
